Who We Are

plugins.audio is an audio plugin database and archive operated from the UK by Nic Mulvaney. The site is located at https://plugins.audio.

Data We Collect

We collect minimal data to operate this site:

Account Data (If You Sign Up)

• Email address (for authentication and communications)
• Username and profile information you choose to provide
• Authentication provider info (Google, GitHub, or email)
• Lists and bookmarks you create
• Account created and last login timestamps
• We use Supabase for authentication and database services
• For passwordless email login, we use Resend to send magic links

Analytics Data

• We use privacy-first, cookie-free analytics with Cabin
• We collect: page views, referring sites, browser type, and general location (country level)
• We do NOT track individual users across sessions
• No personal identifiers are stored

YouTube Embeds

• Some pages include embedded YouTube videos
• When you view these pages, YouTube may collect data according to their privacy policy
• YouTube may set cookies (we don't control this)

Technical Data

• Server logs may temporarily record IP addresses for security purposes
• This data is automatically deleted after 30 days

How We Use Your Data

• To provide and maintain your account
• To save your lists and bookmarks
• To send you authentication emails
• To send occasional service updates or newsletters (you can opt out)
• To improve the site and prevent abuse

Data Sharing

• Your profile is public by default
• Lists you mark as "public" are visible to anyone
• We share data with service providers (Supabase, Resend) only as needed to operate the service
• We never sell your data
• We may disclose data if required by law

Third-Party Services

• Supabase: Hosts our database and authentication - Privacy Policy
• Resend: Sends passwordless authentication emails - Privacy Policy
• Google/GitHub: If you sign in with these providers, their privacy policies apply

Data Retention

• Account data is kept as long as your account is active
• You can delete your account at any time
• Upon account deletion, your data is permanently removed within 30 days
• Public lists you created will be removed

What We Don't Do

• We don't use tracking cookies
• We don't sell data to third parties
• We don't track you across the internet
• We don't share your email with anyone

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and data
• Export your data
• Opt out of marketing emails

Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.
